The Hilton Capital Grand Abu Dhabi is currently the only Hilton Hotel in Abu Dhabi. And now, even that’s changing.

Hilton Capital Grand Abu Dhabi leaves Hilton
The Hilton Capital Grand, Abu Dhabi debuted in September 2013. It was a rebrand from Rocco Forte Hotels. The building has a unique design structure and exterier. The hotel hosted 281 rooms, and it was Hilton’s 2nd hotel in Abu Dhabi at that time. As of 2018, it was the only Hilton hotel in Abu Dhabi.

And now, the hotel’s website has displayed an alert informing current and future guests that the hotel will cease to operate as a Hilton hotel from December 18, 2019, and future reservations will not earn Hilton Honors points.
Please note that as of 18 December 2019, Hilton Capital Grand Abu Dhabi will cease to operate as a Hilton hotel. As a result, stays booked past this date will not accrue Honors points. Please contact the hotel direct in case of any questions regarding your booking on res.capitalgrandabudhabi@hilton.com

Final Thoughts
This is unfortunate that Hilton has no more presence in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi hosts the Formula One and many global tourist attractions like the Grand Mosque, Louvre Museum Qasr Al Watan Palace, etc. Hilton Honors members visiting Abu Dhabi now have to look to the large portfolio of Marriott there or Hyatt or IHG for their hotel stays. We hope to have a Hilton there soon.
