Game of Thrones Season 8 premieres on April 14th at 9pm Eastern Standard Time (EST), which is April 15th, 5am Gulf Standard Time (GST) for UAE.

Well, as of today, April 11th, Game Of Thrones Season 8 is the most awaited show in the world. And, my first question would be: How can I (legally, and easily) watch Game of Thrones in Dubai or anywhere in UAE? I think we have a clear winner. Let’s find out….

Game Of Thrones in UAE – WAVO Offer
WAVO by Orbit Showtime Network (OSN), a streaming service that includes Game of Thrones, is advertising a limited time offer for new user signups at only $2.99 / month! Click here to sign up.

At $2.99/month, this is a great deal for new WAVO users, and obviously an awesome deal for Game of Thrones fans in UAE. Even HBONow in the US charges $14.99 / month for its subscription (but they also have more content options).
Not sure how long this offer will last, but I jumped on it and signed up. My credit card was charged immediately with $2.99, and I was in.
I checked if I could watch the previous seasons of Game of Thrones, and yay, I could. There’s also many other TV Shows, Movies, Kids and Sports entertainment as part of the subscription.

You can download the WAVO app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
WAVO is currently available in Algeria, Bahrain, Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestinian Territory, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Sudan, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

Any catches or questions?
At this point, I’m just happy that I can potentially watch the GoT premiere without having to jump hoops. What’s my potential risk here?
Will the price go up later from $2.99? Honestly, I glanced through the Terms and Conditions, but I couldn’t find anything about the price.
Do I have to pay an additional fee when the actual premier comes out? I don’t think that’s the case, and I seriously hope it’s not. I’m assuming it’s like any other subscription (like Netflix or Amazon Prime).
My next thought, wait, if I have to cancel it, how could I? The app didn’t show a way to cancel it, so I went online and checked, and I could see that I could see an option under Account -> My Purchases, that said “Cancel Subscription”. So all good here.

I’m in no way representing or endorsing Wavo. I’m just a regular customer like any of you. I took one for the team and signed up, and you’ll find me glued to Wavo to watch the GoT finale next week. 🙂
